My previous Post on Swine Flu Concerns in Asia outlines precautions being implemented throughout Asia following the recent Influenza outbreak in North America.
At the bottom of the post, I recommended you follow Avian Flu Diary blogged by my brother Mike Coston.
Since most people are not sure what Swine Flu is, I suggest you read his recent post A Pandemic Primer, it outlines the entire situation in language even I can understand.
But don't stop there, amongst the more technical posts, there are dozens of articles regarding individual, family and community preparedness for pandemics or any other kind of disaster.
Forewarned is Forearmed.
You may be a long way from Mexico and think this doesn't concern you... you'd be wrong.
In the 1918 Influenza outbreak killed over 50 million people in just 18 months.
That was before air travel, when going from London to Sydney could take weeks or even months and yet it still spread across the globe.
Today, you can be anywhere in the world in as little as 24 hours (unless, of course you are booked by my travel agent).
And so can the Flu.
Follow the News... have a preparedness plan ... and please... wash your hands!
